Awkward first post

There is a feeling of awkwardness about posting this. I have investigated my favourite blogs and it rings true with all; the first few posts are a little self conscious. After that however, the nature of the blogs and bloggers emerge and all’s well.

In this first post I state the reasons I perceive for me to communicate in this way:

• there is a need for me to collate articles I have read, links I want to keep track of and to summarise my own musings in a journal type format. A blog appeals to me as a sensible way to do this. Also, as I want to communicate much of this to my family, a blog answers the need because:
• my children are more likely to read my thoughts and links in web format than in any other.

So there you have it.
