hmm, asking myself the question ‘do I really believe this? challenged me.’ I’ve been vacillating about whether to leave the video here, as I think it could be taken to push people to ‘act’ from guilt but I think it is worthwhile to ask us what we think. We’ve just been reading an excerpt from a puritan book “All Things for Good” which uses the analogy of a honey bee as God’s desire to show mercy to people. eg: A bee always makes honey, while it will only sting if it needs to. This is to say God loves showing mercy but will act in judgement when he needs to. If we have that in mind, knowing that God longs to open the eyes of the blind and the ears of the deaf, we can go knowing that the work is his, of course.
